For Lilo

My intentions were never to cause confusion or dismay;

At the time I didn’t realize the high price I would have to pay.

You see, I never dreamed like this we’d be.

I pray the Lord will restore us to how and what we use to be.

I loved you from the start and this was quite evident.

I am sorry, I wasn’t the best friend.

I always thought together we would be.

Even if you didn’t choose to marry me.

I see greatness in you every time I look at you.

I see your heart most of all and your different attributes.

Being friends with you has taught me a lot about myself.

And I thank God for sending you to keep me from myself.

God has a unique purpose for you that no one can phantom.

My advice to you is seek him first and to you he’ll show them.

I’d like to say on the record your life is the best.

Take stock of all you have and thank God for the rest.

At times you can be stubborn and head strong.

But I urge you to let go and let God bring you through this storm.

In life, there arises situations we can’t understand.

Just know he is in charge and he’ll never let go of your hand.

If anyone is to do the letting go then that would be you.

I beseech you to hold on for dear life and let go of anything else that will hinder you.

You are a wonderful person and I consider it a pleasure having known you.

Keep your head up and know it’s not over till it’s over.

Live your Christian life upfront and not undercover.

Trust God he is able to take you through.
