We Will Rise Again
We will rise again.
Look for us on the shores of life;
We are the ones rowing for our lives.
We have endure the hardship of stormy nights.
We will demand for that which is our right.
Our skin has been torched by the midday sun;
We don’t complain because we know the battle has already been won.
Our hope does not lie in the strength of man.
The hope we have lies in the will of God, the Father, the Spirit, and the Son.
We are regarded as simple and not aware of the times.
This is ironic because our existence has been the mark of time.
We will rise again!
Look for us on the road to redemption.
Our feet calloused by hard work and the burning desire for emancipation.
Our physical chains have been taken away;
While we yet remain racially bounded day by day.
I heard a great man say if we spent less time griping about the half of a percent that is the different between us,
And more time realizing the ninety nine point nine that is similar the world would be better place.
With that statement I would have to assent.
There would be more money to help those dying of hunger and less wasted on unnecessary wars.
We will rise again!
Once as a race we all unite.
Social injustice can only be irradiated if together we come to fight.
When you look at me, see me not because of the colour of my skin.
When you look at me, see me because together in this world we must live.
