One Thing to Another

If it ain’t one thing then it’s another.

He got me questioning myself why do I even bother?

Fool, don’t you know I have my mother, father and brothers?

And nothing you do is even going to matter?

Each of us gets the chance to choose our destiny.

I chose mine already so you can quit sweating me.

As I always say, ‘Life is what you CHOOSE to make it’.

That’s why daily I’m trusting in God because I know I just gotta make it.

People come in and out of your life.

You can choose who you want to stay forever or even just for the night.

You say, forever that’s just not possible. I say it is because to forget a true friend is just plain impossible.

Death has many different faces.

Just be sure that when it comes knocking at your door you are ready to face it.

I can’t stand the thought of losing someone else that is close to me.

I guess that’s why I should stay on my knees.

For me it’s hard to fix up my priorities. I’m too busy worrying about a new Movado or some fresh white Nikes.

You’re here today and gone tomorrow.

The life you’re living it’s not yours it’s borrowed.

Why can’t you just be you, why do you have to pretend?

If you would quit lying to yourself this madness would end.

God is in love with you he wants to be your mother hen.

Keep you under his wings and love you for you without end.

I’m sending this one out to my home boy, Tyrone we going to miss you on the block.

Honour to the Governor you had the city lock.

To my uncle Lion, I never really talked to you but you’re still my blood.

I just hope you knew Christ died for you and shed his blood.

Listen up everyone make this life count.

The things this world has to offer can’t and will never amount;

To what the saviour paid for you and for me.
