Brokenness to Victory

Do you know what it’s like to be in a crowd and still feel all alone?

Or looking for love but it always passes you by?

I do at that point I wanted to die.

But I’m here so I guess this is the life!

I want run away but I have nowhere to go.

I want this story to end I’m tired of this show.

This is the cry of young Remy she needs a way out.

The only love she ever knew involved getting money.

She had to lie on her back sometimes and on her tummy.

No daddy by her side not even someone to call mummy.

Her life is messed up she is what you call a junkie.

Crack and heroine has become her two best friends.

She’s swallowing drugs now, on the streets she is known as mother hen.

It’s not my fault this is what she continues to tell herself.

Church folk pass her by with no sign of help…

Do you know what it’s like having a father but not having one?

Sounds contradicting but you don’t know the half son!

It’s a scenario like this, he was there but it’s like he doesn’t even exist.

I had to be the man no one else taught me to be.
