More Than Conquerors

Hey hey hey!!! Now wait a minute, just wait a hotttt minute! What date you said it is?! Where is the time going?! I don’t know about you, but I believe 2019 is the year! 2019 is the year we secure the bag(s); it is year that we walk in peace and joy; 2019 is the year Salvation and Deliverance visits our homes; 2019 is the year that love finds its way home to mama; this year is about to be lit!!!

But here is the rub, half of these things might not happen, in the natural eyes it may turn out to be your worst year yet; but we must remember that what is seen in the natural is not always an indication of what is happening in the spiritual realm and if I were you I would live my life and center my thoughts around the latter rather than the former.

2018 for many us was what I like to call the ‘rooting out’ year. It was the year that God did some deep cleaning of our hearts, minds and souls. I know for me it was a year when I came face to face with soul wounds I had no idea existed and guess what I fought the beast and lived to tell the tale. The amazing thing about this was that I know for a fact I was not the only one, I know that many of you have had the worst seasons you have ever known in this last year, and yet here you are!

This post isn’t meant to be long, its meant to bring light to an amazing truth: We Are More Than Conquerors… (Romans 8:37). What does that mean? It means yes we are made to overcome but that’s not all we are. My understanding of this statement is that our ability to overcome isn’t the end all be all of the matter, there is more to who we are, there is more to our identity. What is that exactly? I believe that given the multifaceted nature of God, that “more” might be revealed as something different to all of us at different times of our lives.

In this season of your life that more might be God revealing to you how much he sees you as His son or daughter, to someone else it might a revealing of just how much grace you have access to empower you to live a life of power and authority. To me in this season this “more” represents God revealing to me that not only am I a conqueror through the Blood of Christ, I am also His, fully and completely His. And guess what friend?! So are you!!!

This year, let’s live as Conquerors and yet, let us not forget that’s not all we are called to be.

It’s our year Dreamers!
