The Beginning Part 1
Like shots of morphine my pain dissipates.
This presence is overwhelming who opened the gates.
My soul is exposed I have never felt so bare.
Seen by many but not by those who actually care.
The struggle continues; the fighting never ends.
An unevenly broken heart is the hardest to mend.
My mask has long been removed
I no longer attempt to hide.
It seems counterproductive wading through these seas of lies.
We desperately try to appease those who are pretending too.
A monkey with a shirt does not change the fact that it is in a petting zoo.
Born royalty but we find our comfort in the slums.
The throne was always ours, yet like a wino we gave it up for the taste of rum.
Those who pursue us vehemently know our true worth.
Listen keenly to their actions and pay no never mind to their words.
The darkness may have kidnapped us but our deliverance is here.
We must fight through the crawling of our skins and breathe through our blood thick tears.
Greater men have yet to walk your path.
The war is at its peak; the lion has awoken, they will feel his wrath.
Our failures make an exceedingly great launching pad.
We must leave our pride behind and board destiny’s craft.
This is not the end my dear, it is the anticipated beginning.
Where the sky meets the sea the universe is expanding.
